”These sculptures began as a private commission and is inspired by an original photograph taken by the owner of the whippets. The owners breeding kennel dates back to 1972 with bloodlines traceable to the 180’s in England, the dogs being bred for coursing, racing and the show ring.

The dogs are brother and sister with the sister sleeping on top, hence the title ‘I’ll Keep Watch’.” - Patrick Barry
